68, already retired, portfolio review from the boring corner

Posting because most portfolio talk skews younger and louder. Age 68, retired for three years. Goal is stable withdrawals, not maximizing my obituary net worth. Risk tolerance: low-medium.

Allocation:
- 35% global equity funds
- 40% bond funds
- 15% cash
- 10% inflation-linked bonds / similar safety bucket

Rough total is around 980k. I know this is conservative by internet standards. It has also let me sleep like a rock through some ugly weeks.

This looks perfectly sane to me for the goal you actually stated.

Internet standards are mostly written by people who have never taken a withdrawal.

Also 15% cash at 68 is not outrageous if it helps avoid forced selling.

'not maximizing my obituary net worth' should be on a mug.

Thank you. Sometimes sane feels embarrassingly unsexy online

Sexy is overrated when the bills keep coming
