waiting for the perfect entry kept me uninvested longer than one bad buy would have

I had cash ready, watched a broad ETF dip a bit, told myself I'd buy after 'confirmation', then watched it recover while I read more threads about patience. Rinse and repeat.

At some point the opportunity cost became the entire story.
