Bitcoin's whipsawing between ETF inflows and sudden drawdowns again — anyone actually trading this volatility or just holding?

Feels like we're back in a stretch where institutional ETF flow headlines move price more than actual on-chain activity. Big inflow day, price pops, then a seemingly unrelated macro headline wipes half the gain overnight. Curious how people here are actually positioned right now — still DCA-ing through the noise, or actively trading the swings?

DCA and log off is still the only strategy that's let me sleep at night thru every cycle since 2017, not touching that

the ETF flow correlation is real but people overstate it, macro liquidity conditions still explain more of teh variance imo if you actually run teh numbers

agreed, correlation with nasdaq futures has been stronger than correlation with ETF flow data for most of this year honestly

tried swing trading the volatility for about 6 months, came out roughly break even after fees, concluded i'm just not disciplined enough for it and went back to holding

institutional involvement was supposed to reduce volatility according to every bull thesis from a few years ago, instead we just got institutional-sized volatility

anyone else notice the drawdowns happen disproportionately on weekends/low liquidity hours lately? feels like thin order books amplifying moves

still holding from 2019, teh number go up long term even if teh week to week stuff gives me minor heart palpitations

the people telling you to 'just hold' have never had to actually pay rent with volatile assets, position sizing matters more than conviction

fair point, conviction without proper position sizing is just gambling with extra steps

options market makers are probably a bigger driver of the intraday chop than either ETF flows or on-chain data at this point tbh
