The most messy part of learning java after a tiny failure
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me thru the part where learning stopped feeling new.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the first draft for a while.
I tried this in Toronto with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan

Honestly, great taste. It sounds small, but the practice run matters. The boring solution is probly the reliable one here

That would annoy me more then it helped. I noticed the same thing in Dublin. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. This would have saved me alot of trial and error

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about failure. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether part stayed easy. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error

my version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. The the corner shop detail changes the whole answer

Big fan of this approach. The practical part is easy to underestimate

I wish more posts had this much context. Honestly the simplest version wins for me
