How do you stay consistent when tools gets boring with limited time?

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actualy follow through

The safe answer is to keep the API boring: clear names, explicit errors and one behavior per function. I keep a note about java for exactly this reason

yep, the boring details matter

I would pin this if I could

I would log the input, the expected output and the actual output first. Once those three are visible, the bug usually stops feeling mysterious. I am curious whether java still feels good next month

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The weekend version is even more interesting. I would love to see the benchmark numbers

Try making a tiny reproduction with no framework code. If it still fails, you found the core issue; if not, add pieces back one at a time. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error

I am curious what changed your mind

I wanted to like this, but the stay argument is weak. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. I keep a note about learning for exactly this reason
