What is the kindest way to start with css as a beginner?

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. performance got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less then 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it

The safe answer is to keep the API boring: clear names, explicit errors and one behavior per function. The rainy evening version is even more interesting

glad you shared it; small wins count. This pairs weirdly well with arepas

what happened after the first week? I am curious whether start stayed easy. My only addition is to make the first step visible

This has cozy competence written all over it. The awkward part is easy to underestimate

I would log the input, the expected output and the actual output first. Once those three are visible, the bug usually stops feeling mysterious. My only addition is to make the first step visible
