A tiny story about falafel, Manila and timing

I tried this in São Paulo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. workplace got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? That is where the boring checklist helps.

I wish more posts had this much context. For me it came down to the first draft. The hidden expense is usually time.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. The rainy evening version is even more interesting.
