What indie looks like when you stop optimizing everything with a beautiful constraint
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Gaming feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. pc got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
I tried this in Berlin with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This reminds me of something a friend in Jakarta mentioned. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about indie. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This has cozy competence written all over it. The social part surprised me too.

I wish more posts had this much context. The 10-minute rule is underrated.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The 4-minute rule is underrated. The real boss fight is finding a night everyone is free.

This reminds me of something a friend in Buenos Aires mentioned. The Lisbon example makes it feel concrete.

The kindness in this post is lovely. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.
