Wholesome · by Pablo Martín · 2026-10-13

The quiet joy of doing the route badly at first without making it complicated

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Wholesome feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. I noticed the same thing in Manila

I wanted to like this, but the doing argument is weak. I would test it for 5 days before deciding

Glad you shared it; small wins count. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages
