ETF inflows picking back up this week after a quiet stretch — sentiment shift or just noise?

coindesk.com

Noticed the spot ETF inflow numbers ticked up noticeably again after a few weeks of outflows/flat activity. Always hesitant to read too much into short windows but curious if others are seeing this as a meaningful sentiment shift or just normal week to week volatility in flows.

one or two weeks of flows is basically noise, i only start paying attention to a multi month trend personally

institutional money moves in waves around macro events (rate decisions, inflation prints), worth checking the calendar for what triggered this

the inflow/outflow data is honestly one of the more useful on chain-adjacent signals we have now that didnt exist a few years ago

agreed, way better transparency than the old 'whale wallet moved' speculation era

feels like retail still reacts to these headlines way more than the actual dollar amounts justify tbh

genuinely curious what % of total market cap these etfs now represent, feels like it keeps creeping up

flows following price is more common than flows leading price historically, so i'd be cautious calling this a leading indicator

my dumb theory is whales front run these flow reports somehow lol, probably just confirmation bias on my part though

appreciate threads like this more than just price action screenshots honestly, good discussion
