Alberta votes decisively against separatism, Carney calls it a great result

bbc.co.uk

Alberta has voted decisively to reject separatism, and Carney called it a 'great result for Canada'. The separatist movement had been getting a lot of attention, so a clear outcome probably takes some pressure off Ottawa. But does a clear no actually settle the grievances that drove the vote in the first place, or does it just push them down the road?

Carney gets an easy W here, didn't have to do much

good outcome but the grievances about Ottawa arent going anywhere

which is why Carney should treat this as a warning not a win

decisive is the key word. a narrow result would've been a mess for years
