What I wish I knew before trying advice in real life

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Parenting feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near my desk. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

I am cheering for this update. I keep a note about kids for exactly this reason.

This is adorable and oddly motivating.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. Glad you shared the messy version too.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high.
