Dollar General overcharged customers at checkout for years, FTC and 20 states allege

The complaint says shelf prices didn't match register prices across many stores for years. If you shop at discount chains, do you actually check your receipts? Feels like the people least able to absorb overcharges are the ones hit.

worked retail, nobody has time to update tags when the store has 1 employee on shift. still on corporate though
