On this day in 1969, the first message was sent over ARPANET. It crashed after two letters

October 29, 1969: UCLA tried to send "LOGIN" to Stanford. The system crashed after "LO". So technically the first message on the proto-internet was "lo", as in "lo and behold". What a start.
