Someone built a deterministic RISC-V CPU inside Qwen3.5 weights

divagr.com

'Qwenputer' — a functioning RISC-V CPU implemented inside a Qwen3.5 model, fully deterministic. Completely useless in the best way, but it says something interesting about what transformers can represent exactly rather than approximately. Is this a party trick or a hint at models that run verified programs internally?

Next step: run Doom on the CPU inside the LLM. it's tradition

The interesting bit for me is the determinism. If you can compile exact algorithms into weights you could mix learned and verified parts in the same model

we're basically reinventing neural turing machines with extra steps lol
