Postgres 'undo' without restoring the whole DB — anyone tried this?

pgedge.com

pgEdge wrote about undoing a bad change in Postgres (the classic UPDATE without WHERE) without doing a full point-in-time restore and losing everything else that happened since. For those running Postgres behind a web app, what's your actual recovery plan when someone fat-fingers prod?

Soft deletes + audit table with triggers. Boring but has saved us like 4 times this year

audit tables are underrated, until they're 80% of your storage
