My favorite low-effort upgrade for questions with a surprising constraint

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and people seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 10 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. My friend tried it in São Paulo and had the opposite result.

This has cozy competence written all over it. The 6-minute rule is underrated.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The social part surprised me too.

That would annoy me more than it helped. That is where the boring checklist helps.

What would you change if you started over? I noticed the same thing in Warsaw.
