I finally understand why Cycling people care about maintenance

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the recipe for a while.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I would love to see a follow-up after 3 weeks. The best gear is the one that gets used.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

I am stealing that phrase.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. The the kitchen detail changes the whole answer.

This reminds me of something a friend in São Paulo mentioned. I would test it for 3 days before deciding.
