Pumpkin ale season check: does anyone actually log one above 3.5?

Every October my log fills up with pumpkin ales I feel obligated to try, and almost none of them beat a solid Märzen or a brown ale. Most taste like a spice blend dumped into a mediocre amber. Have you found one worth a rerun, or have you given up on them and moved straight to stouts for the cold season?
