Clocks fall back this weekend in the US — how do you handle the early dark?

Daylight saving ends Sunday morning in the US (Europe already switched last weekend), and for a lot of people the sudden 5pm darkness is when the low days start creeping in. Last year a daylight lamp at breakfast and a lunch-time walk made a noticeable difference for me, even if it's not magic. What small things help you get through the darker months? No tip is too small.

light box at 8am every day, it took like two weeks before I noticed anything so don't give up early. also worth mentioning to a doctor if it gets heavy
