Someone got a working NES running inside ~1GB of Qwen weights

The model essentially learned to emulate the console frame by frame. Absolutely useless and absolutely delightful. Is this the start of 'neural emulators' being a real thing for preserving weird hardware, or just a great weekend hack?

genuinely interesting for preservation when you don't have docs for the hardware. but accuracy will be the killer

1GB of weights to emulate a machine with 2KB of RAM. efficiency king
