[Club News] The Alte Försterei Expansion: Are you ready for the Olympiastadion era? 🏗️🔴⚪

For anyone who missed the finer details from the recent AGM, the comprehensive expansion of the Stadion An der Alten Försterei is officially moving forward with an estimated cost of €190 million.

Demolition and construction are scheduled to begin in the winter of 2027/28. During the estimated 18-month construction period, the club will temporarily relocate our home matches to the Olympiastadion, with a planned return to our newly expanded home in the summer of 2029. While leaving the Waldseite for a year and a half will be a massive shift, President Dirk Zingler noted this temporary move is a huge opportunity for more fans and families to finally experience Union matches.
