The ambitious joy of doing the route badly at first from my lunch break notes
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Wholesome feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 6 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
I started this because my busy month felt a little stuck, and kindness seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.
