Fireworks season survival thread: what actually calms your pets?

Between Guy Fawkes tomorrow and Diwali coming up, we've got about two weeks of random bangs ahead. Last year my rabbit and cat both hid for hours. Things I'm trying this year: blackout curtains early, white noise, and a blanket fort in the quietest room. What's actually worked for yours?

vet suggested a pheromone diffuser for my cat, mixed results but worth asking your own vet

closing curtains before dark + telly on loud with something boring (cricket works great lol). also dont make a fuss, they read your energy

For rabbits outside, bring the hutch into a garage or shed and cover it partly. ours was much calmer

yes this. covered but with airflow
