First proper cold commute of the season and my fingers have filed a formal complaint

Clocks went back, it's dark on the ride home and this morning was the first one where I genuinely couldn't feel my brake levers by the end. I've got decent gloves but they're either too warm on the climbs or useless on the descents. Thinking about lobster mitts or just layering a thin liner underneath. What's your actual setup for 0-5°C commutes, and does anyone think pogies are worth the shame?

honestly half of it is your core. if your torso is cold your body stops sending blood to the hands, put another layer on first

pogies are 100% worth the shame. i look like i'm riding a hairdryer but my hands are toasty

merino liner + windproof shell glove. the wind is the problem not the temperature
