Finally found the perfect wool coat in a charity shop for £18 and need help styling it

It's a camel, knee-length, slightly oversized wool coat that probably dates from the 90s, and the lining was intact which felt like a miracle. My wardrobe is mostly jeans, grey hoodies and white trainers though, so I'm worried it'll look like I'm wearing my dad's coat. I'm thinking chunky knit, straight jeans and maybe boots instead of trainers. How do you make a classic coat feel like you rather than a costume?

get the sleeves shortened if they're long. £15 at a tailor and suddenly it looks bought for you

dad's coat is the aesthetic right now, embrace it

a grey hoodie under a camel coat is genuinely a look, don't overthink it
