The Ocarina of Time remake has everyone talking about nostalgia again

bbc.co.uk

The BBC has a piece on why remakes hit so hard, with people remembering playing Ocarina with siblings as kids. Reviews call the Switch 2 version superb but also quite safe, which fits that 'don't touch my childhood' tension. I'm torn because part of the magic was the low-poly fog and the 4:3 CRT. Do you prefer faithful remakes, bold reimaginings, or just the original on real hardware?

faithful remakes are great for kids who'll never touch an N64. my nephew is loving it

safe is fine. the last thing anyone wanted was a gritty open world Ocarina
