Best cheap cold-weather stew you rotate every week?

Temperatures just dropped here and I'm back on stew duty. My current one is red lentils, smoked paprika, canned tomatoes, carrots and a spoon of miso at the end, costs maybe 4 dollars for 5 portions. I'm getting bored of it though. What's your go-to budget stew or soup that actually keeps you full?
