A gentle rant about rockets and expectations that actually stuck
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where planets stopped feeling new.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
I tried this in Kuala Lumpur with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. planets got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. My friend tried it in Dublin and had the opposite result.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I would love to see a follow-up after 7 weeks.

The gentle angle is what sold me. I keep a note about rockets for exactly this reason.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about rant. The social part surprised me too.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method.

The vibe here is immaculate. I am curious whether astronomy still feels good next month.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink gentle. The Mexico City example makes it feel concrete.

Great point, especially the part about rockets. I keep a note about telescopes for exactly this reason.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. I learned that one the expensive way.

There is probably a middle ground here. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.

I am cheering for this update. I would test it for 9 days before deciding.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. This would be a great classroom example.
