A tiny story about sourdough, Mumbai and timing that actually stuck

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 6 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I tried this in Lisbon with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The surprising constraint is probably the real story.

Good reminder that boring can be good. That is where the boring checklist helps. Small progress still counts.

Thanks, that actually helped.

I am curious what changed your mind.

Love the tiny experiment energy. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. A little friction removed goes a long way. Glad you shared the messy version too.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.
