I changed one thing and suddenly global made sense on a budget
I tried this in Manila with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. culture got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. The busy month version is even more interesting.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Kuala Lumpur? I noticed the same thing in Buenos Aires.

I wish more posts had this much context. I learned that one the expensive way. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. I am curious whether science still feels good next month.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. The winter version is even more interesting. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.

I would push back gently on the sense part. I noticed the same thing in Toronto.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. I would test it for 3 days before deciding.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The 8-minute rule is underrated.
