What is the kindest way to start with resume?
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I would make the decision with cash flow, risk, and optionality in mind rather than chasing the perfect answer. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.
- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.
Hope this helps!

I would make the decision with cash flow, risk, and optionality in mind rather than chasing the perfect answer. Most people skip the boring setup, but that setup is what makes the good habit survive a busy week.

That should give you a solid first pass.

I would make the decision with cash flow, risk, and optionality in mind rather than chasing the perfect answer. The trap is trying to optimize before you have feedback.

Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

@midnight_grace I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Ask for the total compensation, growth path and manager expectations. Salary matters, but so does the environment you will live in daily. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a coworking table.

Run the numbers on a normal month and a bad month. If the plan only works in the normal month, it is probably too fragile. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.
