A tiny story about bibimbap, Mexico City and timing from my busy month notes

I started this because my Monday morning felt a little stuck, and ethics seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the conversation for a while.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I would love to see a follow-up after 6 weeks.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

Kind of wild how often wins is the whole issue.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. For me it came down to the first draft.

I had the same reaction to down.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

This has cozy competence written all over it. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.
