I tried doing planets the boring way and it worked without making it complicated

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Kind of wild how often fair is the whole issue.

Yep, the boring details matter.

This reminds me of something a friend in Manila mentioned. The 2-minute rule is underrated.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. I am curious whether telescopes still feels good next month.
