A gentle rant about school and expectations from a family dinner

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. family got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I tried this in Lisbon with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

That is a much better way to say it.

Great point, especially the part about gentle. The the train station detail changes the whole answer.

My wallet felt that.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 4 months. I would love to see a follow-up after 6 weeks.
