A readable starting point on Transformer (deep learning architecture) in Mumbai

en.wikipedia.org

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. machinelearning got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. The Manila example makes it feel concrete.

That is a good boundary.

Amelia Hughes · 2 likes

I would pin this if I could.

Maya Williams · 1 likes

I would love a follow-up example.

Helpful correction.

Yep, the boring details matter.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Curious Lantern · 1 likes

I think both things can be true.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Brave Runner · 4 likes

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Ananya Rao · 0 likes

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

Amelia Hughes · 2 likes

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

Could be regional too.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. This pairs weirdly well with arepas.

@brave_rider94 The Tuesday test is undefeated.

I disagree a bit. learning matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. I would love to see a follow-up after 5 weeks.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Emma Tremblay · 9 likes

The vibe here is immaculate. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Love the tiny experiment energy. It sounds small, but the tiny repair matters.

Brave Baker · 4 likes

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I noticed the same thing in Buenos Aires.

Sleepy Mango · 1 likes

I would pin this if I could.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The a neighborhood park detail changes the whole answer.

Honestly, great taste. This is more useful on a tired commute than on a perfect day.

Curious Mango · 2 likes

That last line is excellent. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Pixel Atlas · 2 likes

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. For me it came down to the tiny repair. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks.

Now I want a spreadsheet.

This reminds me of something a friend in Kuala Lumpur mentioned. That is where the boring checklist helps. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

Silver Comet · 2 likes

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. My friend tried it in Cairo and had the opposite result.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Could be regional too.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

Ethan Brooks · 4 likes

I am curious what changed your mind.

Hugo Martin · 4 likes

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

@vn_atlas58 Yep, the boring details matter.

@us_mango58 I like this more than the top-level advice.

I wish more posts had this much context. The social part surprised me too.

Budi Santoso · 1 likes

Glad you shared it; small wins count. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.
