A tiny win from Istanbul that made my week in Mexico City

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Photography feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where portraits stopped feeling new.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. street got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Love the tiny experiment energy. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I am stealing that phrase.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I am curious whether street still feels good next month.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. The rainy evening version is even more interesting.

The Tuesday test is undefeated.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. My friend tried it in Mexico City and had the opposite result.

@ayesha-29 I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I learned that one the expensive way.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. I would love to see a follow-up after 9 weeks.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

@quiet-58 That is a good boundary.

What would you change if you started over? I would write it down before changing anything else.
