What I wish I knew before trying habits that actually stuck

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. I would love to see a follow-up after 7 weeks.

This has cozy competence written all over it. The social part surprised me too. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. The social part surprised me too.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. The a family dinner detail changes the whole answer.

I disagree a bit. stuck matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. A little friction removed goes a long way.
