The small biology habit that changed my late summer after 11 tries

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. My friend tried it in Madrid and had the opposite result.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Nairobi? I am curious whether biology still feels good next month. The scale of it still melts my brain a little.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether biology stayed easy. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Good reminder that boring can be good. It sounds small, but the prototype matters. This would be a great classroom example.

I would push back gently on the biology part. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop. The uncertainty is part of what makes it interesting.
