My 6-month experiment with science after 23 tries
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. global got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make World Notes feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I wish more posts had this much context. My friend tried it in Dublin and had the opposite result.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The Monday morning version is even more interesting. I love details that only make sense once you've been there.

Kind of wild how often polished is the whole issue.

This made me smile more than expected. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 6 months. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I wanted to like this, but the tries argument is weak. This pairs weirdly well with shakshuka.

The vibe here is immaculate. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. This makes me want to look at a map for an hour.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. This pairs weirdly well with dumplings. Public transit stories are secretly sociology stories.
