The delightful joy of doing the playlist badly at first in Manila
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the routine for a while.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. That is where the boring checklist helps. Backlog guilt is a shared cultural experience.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 5 months.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

This reminds me of something a friend in Manila mentioned. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. I learned that one the expensive way.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I do not have a strong take, but the playlist detail is useful. The quiet Sunday version is even more interesting.
