Notes from a very normal commute with Drawing from a coworking table

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the prototype for a while.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

I tried this in Madrid with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

Big fan of this approach. Great use of light and restraint.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I had the same reaction to frame.

Great point, especially the part about table. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I am cheering for this update. I learned that one the expensive way.
