A gentle rant about photos and expectations before coffee

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. street got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. The chaotic constraint is probably the real story. Process photos would be fun to see.

That is a much better way to say it.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. The surprising constraint is probably the real story.

My wallet felt that.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I would test it for 5 days before deciding. This makes me want to start a weekend project.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The gentle part is easy to underestimate.

Great point, especially the part about coffee. The the library detail changes the whole answer.

I would pin this if I could.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. I keep a note about portraits for exactly this reason. This makes me want to start a weekend project.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 2 months. I noticed the same thing in Warsaw.

Great point, especially the part about gentle. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

Good reminder that boring can be good. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. Great use of light and restraint.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. I keep a note about street for exactly this reason.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. The social part surprised me too. The small imperfections make it feel human.
