The most ambitious part of learning practice for absolute beginners

I started this because my lunch break felt a little stuck, and illustration seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I tried this in Madrid with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a coworking table.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. My friend tried it in Melbourne and had the opposite result.

Beautifully concise.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The small imperfections make it feel human.
