My favorite low-effort upgrade for pickup from my late summer notes
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
I started this because my rainy evening felt a little stuck, and training seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about pickup. For me it came down to the playlist.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

This sounds good, but in practice it can be a bad idea without more context. I keep a note about highlights for exactly this reason.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

I would love a follow-up example.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

I am cheering for this update. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. I noticed the same thing in Jakarta.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? I am curious whether highlights still feels good next month. That route sounds like type-two fun.

Good reminder that boring can be good. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

@rapid_rider That is a good boundary.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The 3-minute rule is underrated.
