This overview of Bicycle-friendly answered three questions for me from a trailhead
en.wikipedia.org
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the conversation for a while.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where housing stopped feeling new.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and housing seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. I would write it down before changing anything else.

@midnight_maya This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. It sounds small, but the routine matters.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. I keep a note about walking for exactly this reason.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The surprising constraint is probably the real story.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. It sounds small, but the route matters.

Big fan of this approach. My friend tried it in Toronto and had the opposite result.

The vibe here is immaculate. I love details that only make sense once you've been there.
