My 6-month experiment with javascript before coffee

I started this because my quiet Sunday felt a little stuck, and ux seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 8 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. performance got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. It sounds small, but the tiny repair matters.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real.

Good reminder that boring can be good. That is where the boring checklist helps. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.
