How do you get better at reviews without burning out as a beginner?

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 3 attempts teh pattern is pretty clear. When I keep teh setup simple, I actually follow through.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep teh first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate teh boring repeat

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. I am curious whether fiction still feels good next month

I would start with the thing that already interests you, then branch outward by creator, era, or theme. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

That should give you a solid first pass

I would love a follow-up example

@tola-43 I would pin this if I could

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. The delightful part is easy to underestimate

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. I keep a note about libraries for exactly this reason
