Which advice about speaking did you eventually ignore in real life?

I started this because my lunch break felt a little stuck, and languages seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I tried this in Cairo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

For travel days, leave one flexible block. The best thing on a trip is often the thing you did not schedule. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. The the kitchen detail changes the whole answer.

Context matters here, so compare the local norm with your own constraints before deciding. If two options look equal, choose the one that is easier to reverse.

- Do ten minutes daily instead of one giant weekend session.
- Save phrases you actually want to say.
- Speak badly on purpose; fluency needs reps.

That should give you a solid first pass.
