What I wish I knew before trying physics before coffee

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where biology stopped feeling new.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 7 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The social part surprised me too.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

I think both things can be true.

@lanternMender That is a good boundary.

The best answer in the thread, honestly.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. The useful part is easy to underestimate. The scale of it still melts my brain a little.

The vibe here is immaculate. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The busy month version is even more interesting. Now I want to read the paper behind it.
